The PhoenZine is Phoenixville’s premiere (and only) purveyor of fine local indie art, poems, & prose in print. Its first anniversary is marked by a fundraiser towards future monthly printings, featuring art vendors, free food, and some of our area’s classiest acts united to perform under the Moose roof for a great cause. Molly Rhythm & Alright, Junior w/ The Clean GetaWay!
Molly Rhythm headlines our blow-out show!
This Philadelphia/Trenton based act is a multi-chick fronted eclectic, eccentric, theatrical, kicking and screaming, face melting music machine. The members have been working together in different combinations creating music in one form or another for quite sometime, spanning genres such as creepy alt rock, blues, reggae, classical, punk, classic rock, hip-hop and metal.

“When first you hear Alright, Junior, you may be intangibly tossed into a ‘back-in-da-day’ vortex, liberating early ’90s grunge rock n’ roll, lathered in crippling Smashing Pumpkins riffs and caliginous Alice in Chains vocals. They have endurance, there’s no doubt in that, extolling their engendered appreciation for the last ‘good’ era of rock music with all the spasmodic moves of an undomesticated bronco.” (Origivation, Spring 2007)

With influences as diverse as Coldplay, Rage Against The Machine, The Beatles, and Arctic Monkeys, the only safe means of defining The Clean GetaWay is “genre-bending rock, Lancaster-style.”

Phoenixville’s premiere ’60s-style rock band (that’s The National Bird, folks) schedules a return headliner engagement at the venue for loud, local and extremely cool music! Guest opener Problem Solving adds to the mix (shaken, not stirred) with their four-piece original rock from the streets of Philly.
